Future English Teachers - Bury and Bolton

Are you passionate about working with children and young people?

Are you aiming to become a Secondary School teacher but need more experience in a school environment?

Teaching Personnel are working alongside several Secondary schools in the areas of Bury and Bolton to recruit English Graduates to join their 'Future Teachers Programme' for September 2019.

Teaching Personnel and its partner schools have created a 'Future Teachers Programme' to support the recruitment of English Graduates who are looking for one year of paid experience before joining a teacher training course.

The 'Future Teachers Programme' commences in September 2019 on a full-time basis and will be guaranteed for the full academic year 2019/2020. This programme will provide English Graduates with invaluable skills and experience necessary to become a successful teacher and will also support securing a position on an upcoming teacher training programme.

  • Full-time English Graduate Teaching Assistant positions on the 'Future Teachers Programme'
  • Positions available for September 2019 guaranteed until the end of the academic year (2020)
  • Earn up to £1300 per month - competitive rate of pay
  • Secondary schools located across Bury and Bolton
  • English Graduates are welcome to apply for this position

Working as a Future Teacher at our client schools, roles and responsibilities will include:

  • Working with a small group of students in need of extra English support
  • Delivering pre-planned English focused interventions and monitor pupils' progress
  • Working alongside the class teacher to plan sessions and cover lessons alongside receiving training on what is involved to become a future English teacher
  • Full support and training will be provided

Application Requirements

  • To be accepted onto the Future Teachers Programme, you must have a English degree or be coming to the end of the final year of your English degree.
  • You must be able to obtain two references from your most recent employer or University tutor and be able to apply for a Child Workforce Enhanced DBS Certificate.
  • Previous experience working with children and young people is desirable but not necessary as full training will be provided.

Following the completion of the Future Teachers Programme, successful Graduates will be supported onto a Schools Direct/teacher training course.
