Are you an experienced teaching assistant or learning mentor looking for the next step in your career? Have you ever considered supporting children with Special Educational Needs?

On behalf of a SEN base at a mainstream secondary school, Teaching personnel are looking for 2 teaching assistants to support SEN pupils on a full time base. This is an incredibly rewarding opportunity to work with fantastic children who have various special needs such as Autism, ADHD, Global Delay and physical disabilities.

Your role as a teaching assistant will involve...

  • Working along side children of various abilities and who have various types of needs
  • Providing excellent 1:1 support with the help of other teaching assistants
  • Monitoring pupil progress and reporting this at the end of the day
  • Maintaining the same standard of care and education to pupils as expected

We are looking for a reliable individual who is open to new opportunities and has an enthusiasm for supporting children with SEN. This role is 5 days per week until the end of the academic year.

The pay rate is £270 - £325 per week dependant on experience and ability of pupils.

The right candidate will need...

  • A passion for education and interest in supporting pupils
  • Professional experience with children or SEN
  • The right attitude towards young people who experience SEN
  • A drivers licence and access to a vehicle
  • A DBS on the update service
