I am working with a fantastic primary school based in the heart of Lambeth that are looking to recruit a number of Special Educational Needs Learning Support Assistants. These positions are to work 1 to 1 alongside children with a range of needs.
The school has around 21 statemented children that need additional support. The right experience is needed to work in these positions as they are working directly with statemented children.
The school would like to see someone who has previoulsy worked with children or young adults with Autism and has a very strong knowledge of special needs.
You'll be required to work with children who may have behaviour issues, Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) amongst others. In particular we are looking for experienced workers in these areas and the following English as an Additional Language (EAL), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), MAKATON and manual handling. Any previous experience in working with SEN is preferable.
