PPA Teacher - Primary School in Blackburn

A one form entry primary school in the Blackburn area are looking for a PPA teacher to cover the EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 class teachers whilst they are planning and preparing their lessons. The role of a PPA teacher is to cover the class teachers while they are planning, preparing and completing the relevant assessment for their pupils. We are looking for an individual who is comfortable across all year groups with good behaviour management. You would be teaching foundation subjects including Art, Geography, History, PE and R.E. You would receive the long term planning prior to starting in September. The position is covering a scheduled staff absence and would be to start on Monday 30th September until Friday 20th December.

Behaviour in school has been reported as 'GOOD' and pupils show good progress across KS1 and KS2. Whilst you cover PPA in the classrooms there is a full time teaching assistant who is familiar with the class and the daily routines. Experience delivering the Key Stage 1 & 2 curriculum and evidence of excellent Primary School classroom practice references are essential for this role. This position offers candidates the scope to develop their career and gain further experience working across all year groups. The school are interested to meet with both NQTs and experienced teachers.

Requirements to be a successful candidate:

  • Experience teaching across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2
