Job description

Teacher of PE required from April at an Ofsted graded Good Andover based secondary school.
Teaching opportunity working in an Andover school required on a full time basis from April 2018. This Ofsted rated "Good" school is looking for a PE teacher who is confident teaching all pupil abilities across KS3 and GCSE.


- Full time PE teaching post
- April 2018 start through till the end of the academic year initially
- Teaching a timetable consisting of key stage 3 and 4 PE
- Ofsted graded Good school with excellent management and leadership


This excellent secondary school located in the heart of Andover wishes to appoint an PE teacher, initially from April through until the end of the academic year. Applicants are required to hold previous experience teaching PE studies up to GCSE level

The successful applicant will join a well resourced department, who have consistently achieved 'Good' rating in previous OFSTED reports. Working within a vibrant department you will be given full support, subject specific CPD opportunities and a friendly teaching environment.


The School are looking to appoint a PE teacher who;
- Holds UK QTS and a PGCE in PE
- Has experience teaching PE up to GCSE level
- Will be committed to being part of this team till the end of the academic year


The school is average in size with around 1000 pupils on roll, located in Andover. The vast majority of children are of white British heritage and the number of pupils with learning difficulties or a statement for special needs is below the national average. Located in the town centre, the School is easily accessible as it is only a short drive from the A303 and has direct transport links to the surrounding areas.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
