About the role:

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for ideal candidates to work in an SEN school in Plymouth. With an ideal start date in February 2019, this Plymouth based school is looking for the right candidate to work as a learning mentor in their SEN provision.

Your role would entail working on a 1:1/small group basis, supporting the development of learning. You would work closely with teachers, so that you can create exciting tasks and activities on topics the students are studying. Accompanying this you will also take your student on fun, exciting activities which will aid learning and also help their social/emotional development.

This role will work on a full time or supply basis, Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm. Term time only.

Successful candidates:

  • Relevant experience in SEN and education
  • A background in one of the desired fields
  • Enthusiastic and engaging
  • A desire to learn more
  • Ideally an NVQ Level 3 or higher
  • Calm and patient manner

In order to work for Teaching Personnel and clear our vetting process, you must have a Child Workforce DBS subscribed to the Update Service. Full assistance will be provided should you need to apply for a new check, at a standard cost of £44, plus an annual subscription fee of £13 for the Update Service.
