Full-Time Cover Supervisor Required in Bedlington - December

Are you wishing to pursue a teaching career in the future? Do you have the confidence to lead lessons and support pupils during classes? Or are you a teacher that is looking for additional work and would like to be in a school environment?

Teaching Personnel are looking to appoint a full-time cover supervisor for a client Faith School in Bedlington. The role will involve day-to-day cover - the school require a full-time member of staff to cover multiple year groups. This is a great opportunity to develop experience in the classroom prior to teacher training - we currently have a number of cover supervisors in the school who have found the experience invaluable.

The position:

  • Full time and Part time Graduates required
  • Supporting pupils in small groups and on a 1:1 basis in lessons
  • Covering lessons with pre-set work in the absence of the class teacher
  • Working directly alongside the other teachers to develop activities
  • Gain invaluable experience prior to starting PGCE
  • Opportunity to earn between £280 and £350 per week

The school also wish to appoint Graduate Teaching Assistants with immediate effect in order to implement support in multiple departments prior to the examination period. All Graduate Teaching Assistant positions will initially be offered on a temporary basis for one term, with the opportunity to gain a fixed term contract following this.

With over 1,200 pupils on roll, the school is significantly larger than average and due to this they are always looking for extra support on both a full and part time basis. It is a faith school therefore someone familiar with the Catholic Ethos would be desired however not essential; Students are well behaved and the school prides it self on its inclusive and caring atmosphere. This combined with the SLT's continued commitment to the performing arts, sports and a wealth of extra-curriculars ensures all learners are fully supported and challenged to achieve their potential.
