Full Time 1-1 Learning Support Assistant

Job description

Our client school in Richmond Upon Thames, are currently looking to employ a Learning Support Assistant to support children with additional and special educational needs. You would be working in an Ofsted 'Outstanding' school, with an established team of teachers and teaching assistants, to support the learning of children under the supervision of the teacher.

Ideally, our client school are looking for an experienced person who is creative and adaptable, with a positive nature, who enjoys working with children. You will need to be able to work as part of a team. You must be willing to support children with an Educational Health and Care Plan, who require focused 1:1 support, as directed by the Class Teacher and the Inclusion Manager.

You must have a good general level of education and it would extremely helpful to have knowledge of, and direct experience of, supporting children with social communication difficulties, sensory needs, attention difficulties and additional special educational needs.

Hours:

32.5 per week

39 weeks per year (term time plus 5 inset days).

Start Date:

TBC - from 26th November 2018 if possible.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
