French Teacher

The Headteacher at a Blackburn Secondary Academy are seeking to appoint an MFL Teacher for the summer term. Although the initial position is to start immediately following the Easter Break, the school have evaluated staffing for the new academic year and are looking to appoint someone for a permanent position starting in September 2019.

The school is a successful Academy and is part of a flourishing multi academy trust. The languages department currently specialise in delivering French as their sole language. Following the AQA specifications, it would be beneficial for candidates considering this role to have some experience with this exam board. Applications from candidates at varying stages of their career are encouraged and it is likely that there will be opportunity for middle and senior leadership positions in the coming years.

Initially the position is required to fill a shortfall within the MFL team which has been created due to a number of staff absences. The appointed candidate will take up a full time teaching timetable to alleviate the pressure on the department in the run into the GCSE examinations and summer.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
