French and Spanish Teacher required in 'Outstanding' school

Job description

I am working on behalf of a mainstream, Ofsted judged 'Outstanding' secondary school in Preston who are seeking a Teacher of French/Spanish for a maternity cover for 2 terms, initially. The placement will commence on Monday 3rd September until Friday 5th April, initially, on a full-time basis.

The timetable is split over 2 weeks and is made up of predominately KS3/4 French lessons with 2 hours of teaching Spanish over the 2 weeks.

This is an 'Outstanding' school were pupils present welcoming behaviour and results achieved are higher than the national average. The incoming MFL Teacher must be capable of planning and delivering high quality French/ Spanish lessons and will be responsible for marking in line with the schools policy.

Responsibilities Include:

- Teaching KS3/4 French and Spanish

- Working hours 08:30am - 15:30pm

- Planning and delivery of all timetabled MFL lessons

- Marking of students work

- Form Tutor

- Attending whole school CPD once a week until 4pm (Tuesday)

- Attending staff briefings twice a week (Monday and Wednesday) from 08:30am

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
