French & Spanish Teacher Position

Due to a member of the MFL department going on maternity leave our client secondary school is currently seeking a teacher of French & Spanish to join their faculty on a full time basis. This position will start from Easter but could potentially start earlier if needed.

• Full time French & Spanish teaching position, starting at Easter
• Get paid to scale MPS/UPS (£22,917- £38,633 per annum)
• Work within an Ofsted graded good secondary school

This is a larger than average mixed comprehensive secondary school (11-16 years) with over 1200 students currently on roll, with the majority of students being of White British heritage. The school is situated in a semi- rural setting close to Littleborough, Rochdale and is easily accessible via the M60 & M62. For those on public transport there are a range of bus routes and a train station a short walk away from the school. In recent years, the Head Teacher and Senior Leadership team have led the school to a noticeable improvement in behaviour, quality of teaching and the outcomes of the students. It has been noted that pupils respect the teachers and take pride in their school and the quality of their work.

The incoming French and Spanish teacher will have:

• UK QTS specialising in French & Spanish
• Previous experience teaching French & Spanish up to GCSE
• Develop interactive and innovative lessons to keep students motivated to learn
• Liaise with the Head of languages on the progress and performance of all students
• Put different strategies & intervention lessons in place for those students who have not yet met there predicted grades
