Job description

Full time Food Technology Technician required for a Bolton Secondary school from January 2019 till the end of the academic year.

Due to an influx of pupils selecting Food Technology each academic year there is an increased demand for an experienced Food Technology Technician who has the relevant knowledge, skills and experience in Food Technology.

  • Full time Food Technology Technician, January 2019.
  • Must hold relevant degree level qualification within Food Technology.
  • Prior experience using equipment and organising practicals is essential alongside a thorough understanding Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements when using tools and or equipment.
  • Earn up to £1350 + per month.

The incoming Food Technology Technician will be responsible for;

  • Organising and setting up equipment and resources for practical lessons.
  • Support the pupils and class teacher in order to safely use equipment and resources.
  • Up to date knowledge of Health and Safety regulations in line with monitoring, maintaining resources and equipment ensuring it meets all relevant requirements.

The school is located in Farnworth at the border between Bury and Salford; easily accessible via the M61and the surrounding areas, which include Bury, Wigan, Salford and Chorley. Public transport links are also easily accessible, with the Bus and Train station a few miles away from the school.
