Are you a strong and experienced Food Technology Teacher? Looking for a new role? Can you teach KS3-KS4 Food Technology and KS3 Design Technology? If so we have the perfect role for you!

I am looking to appoint a Food (KS4) and Design Technology (KS3) Teacher on behalf of a client school in Derbyshire. The role offered will be temporary, lasting a term but will have the possibility of being extended into the next academic year. You will be prepping and delivering lessons across KS3 and KS4 to classes of mixed ability. They are looking to appoint a new technology teacher after the Easter Holiday.

The school is located in South Derby and currently has over 1000 pupils on roll. The schools latest OFSTED report (2018) was 'Requires Improvement', however, it does also state that "An enthusiastic and developing senior leadership team supports the committed headteacher. Leaders have established a firm base to support further improvement"

An ideal candidate will have:

  • UK recognised teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching Food Technology to GCSE
  • Experience teaching Design Technology to KS3
  • A friendly and patient approach to teaching
  • Good behaviour management skills
  • The ability to plan and deliver effective lessons
