Due to re-structuring within the Design Technology department, an exciting position has arisen for a Food Technology Teacher to join our partner secondary school from September 2018. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Food Technology Teacher to join a school in a progressive role with vast career development opportunities.

• Full time Food Technology teaching position
• Located on the outskirts of Manchester close to the city centre
• Pay in line with MPS/UPS dependant on experience (£22,917- £38,633)
• Both newly qualified and experienced Food Technology teachers encouraged to apply

This role is ideal for any Food Technology teacher who is looking to secure a progressive role in a school with an outstanding team spirit. The school's Senior Leadership team were recently praised by Ofsted for their high expectations of the pupils. Further, pupil behaviour is considered to be good with a high amount of respect being shown for all staff.

The school are particularly seeking a Food Technology who has a track record of delivering success at both Key Stages 3 & 4. The incoming Food Technology teacher will have access to modern teaching facilities due to a recent investment in the classrooms. Pupils enjoy studying Food Technology with lessons often displaying positive learning environments.

Our partner school is slightly smaller in comparison to those in the surrounding areas with it currently catering for just over 600 pupils. The numbers of pupils eligible for pupil premium and those who speak English as an Additional Language are slightly higher than the national average.

It is located on the outskirts of Manchester town centre offering excellent accessibility to East Manchester and areas of Stockport via the M60 motorway. There are also direct public transport links (both buses & trains) to the school from Manchester city centre.
