Food Technology / Catering Teacher in Cambridge

Job description

A specialist school in Cambridge are looking to appoint a Food Technology Teacher.

The school provides support and education for over 100 students aged 5-19 years old with Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC). They have a wonderful staff team committed to ensuring that students at the school receive the support they require to reach their full potential.

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be an Unqualified Teacher with previous Secondary experience
  • Specialism in Food Technology including all relevant qualifications (Food Hygiene etc.)
  • Available full time Monday to Friday (0830-1530)
  • Previous SEN experience preferably with ASC, if not you must have a desire to work in SEN.
  • Enthusiastic and engaging personality
  • Confident delivering lessons to the current core curriculum

Additional qualifications such as Team Teach and Autism Awareness are desirable but not required.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
