Job description

This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...

Teaching Personnel support various primary schools across York and Selby with their demand for staffing, supply and interventions. We are proud to be the UK's leading education recruitment agency, with consultants who truly are experts in the education sector. We have well-established links and strong professional relationships with the schools across North Yorkshire, which means that we are able to fully support you in securing your ideal role. Whether you're looking to become a supply teacher with the freedom to schedule work around your own diary, or whether you're an NQT looking to secure a permanent position and complete your induction year, we can support you!

The Roles …

  • Day to day supply - Use our online system to update your very own online diary so that we can help you secure work on the days which suit you best. We are the best at keeping in contact and love to hear how you find each booking! Our sophisticated feedback system protects you, so that we can track the schools which you wish to prioritise and those which you would wish to avoid. We strive to find you the work which is local and suits your specialisms best! If you're not a morning person - don't worry! We have a range of supply which can either be pre-booked in advance if you'd prefer not to receive on the day calls!

  • Long-term supply - We also have a range of longer term roles available, whether it be maternity cover, long-term sickness cover or temporary posts to support schools during hand-over and busy periods. Would you like the chance to work in a school for a term or two, but have the flexibility of not being tied into a permanent contract? If so, then long-term supply could be for you! Whether you're looking for a part or full time role, we actively look for these positions and let our schools know all about YOUR specialisms, to help YOU secure the right position!

  • Interventions - Are you passionate about raising attainment? Do you hold a specialism in Literacy, Numeracy or are you particularly passionate about supporting SEN pupils? We recruit Teachers who can provide specialist set sessions for pupils within our client schools, especially during the lead up to Phonics Screenings and SATs tests.

  • Temp to Perm - Are you struggling to secure your next permanent job role? We help schools find new staff by offering a temp to perm option. It also gives you the protection of testing out whether you enjoy working at a specific school on a long term basis, before committing to working on a permanent contract! This option is fantastic for NQT's looking to complete their induction year, or experienced teachers hoping to find a new challenge!

If you're interested in any of the above positions, please feel free to contact Molly on 01482 312040 or forward a copy of your CV

Please note, you must be registered with Teaching Personnel in order to be put forward for any positions. You will be required to apply for a Child Workforce ONLY DBS and register it with the update service if you do not already obtain one.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
