Are you an experience Sports Coach looking for your next career move within a school?

Perhaps you have previous experience in youth work or are a sports graduate looking to train as a teacher?

A secondary school in Portsmouth are looking to recruit a PE Teacher to cover a period of maternity leave. Due to logistics within the department, ideally the school are looking for a female to fill this role.

This would be a fantastic opportunity for an experienced sports coach or graduate looking to step into teaching. The school are extremely supportive of unqualified teachers and wish to help aspiring educators begin their career.

You will be working alongside a popular department in a leading role to deliver PE lessons for 2 school terms in the absence of their usual teacher. You will gain experience in planning and resourcing lessons as well as being fully submerged into the school community life, taking part in curricular and extra curricular activities to become a valuable member of staff. Gaining this experience will allow you to teach in further schools or perhaps apply for SCITT programme or PGCE.

To apply for this role you must:

**Have relevant coaching experience

**Have a passion for sport

**Have some knowledge of the PE curriculum within secondary schools

**Be available from March

Ideally you will:

**Be a female

**Have a DBS registered on the update service or be willing to apply for one

**Be looking for temporary work
