Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a fully qualified Business Studies teacher to join one of our client schools. This is a vibrant and inclusive secondary school located in the heart of Central Manchester. This will be a full-time role, working Monday-Friday.

This role is due to begin at the beginning of March.

The successful candidates will be paid in line with your teacher pay scale point, (between £30,000 and £46,525 per annum).

About the Role:

Teaching Personnel are seeking an enthusiastic, qualified, and experienced MFL teacher to join their dynamic languages department from March 2024. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Business Studies and IT at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. The successful candidate will be passionate education and committed to sharing their knowledge and enthusiasm with our students. The role involves planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons that motivate students and develop their language skills. You will also contribute to extracurricular activities such as language clubs and trips.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in Business Studies and/or IT that inspire and engage students.
  • Set clear targets for learning and ensure that all students are working towards achieving their full potential.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Contribute to the development of schemes of work, resources, and teaching strategies in the Business department.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure continuity, progression, and coverage of the curriculum.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities such as clubs, trips, and events to enrich students’ learning experiences.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, achievement, and progress in line with school policies.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and other stakeholders regarding student progress and wellbeing.
  • Continuously develop your professional skills and knowledge through ongoing training, reflection, and collaboration with colleagues.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification; ECTs are welcome to apply.
  • Degree in Business Studies or a related field.
  • Proven experience of teaching Business Studies and IT at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 in a secondary school setting; experience teaching GCSE.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching to young people
  • Excellent classroom management skills with a commitment to ensuring high standards of behaviour and learning.
  • Ability to plan engaging lessons that cater for the diverse needs of learners; differentiated instruction is essential in our inclusive setting.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, carers, and colleagues.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development; you should be eager to learn from others, share best practices, and continuously improve your teaching practice.
