Faith School in Blackburn require KS2 Teaching Assistant

A one form entry Christian school in the heart of Blackburn have approached the agency in order to appoint a KS2 Teaching Assistant. The role will be to work as a general Teaching Assistant from January to Easter 2019, with the view to continuing until the end of the academic year. The school are very keen to see applying candidates who are Level 2 qualified and experienced in KS2. You must also have knowledge and confidence to uphold the Christian faith in school as this is very high on the school's agenda currently. You must also be able to work confidently with the KS2 Curriculum and effectively develop the understanding of Maths and English skills. The Head teacher in school has been in role for over 5 years and has worked with her Senior Leadership Team and staff to improve standards and receive a GOOD Ofsted grading in a recent inspection. The inspection delivered a number of positive outcomes particularly for the way the Leaders brought significant improvements in the standard of teaching and learning outcomes. There was also a number of outcomes in the report which specify how the school have supported the children arriving who work below expected age related levels .

The role is an exciting opportunity in this GOOD school.

You will work from 845-1530 as a KS2 general Teaching Assistant

You must hold a Level 2 teaching assistant qualification or equivalent. NQTs are also welcome to apply providing you are committed to the role for the longevity.

You will be expected to uphold the Christian ethos in school as this is high on the school's agenda.

You will be expected to hold a good level of written and spoken English in order to confidently support the children in class

You must have a strong curriculum knowledge particularly in Maths, Reading and Writing.

It is desirable that you have worked alongside children with special educational needs

It is desirable that you are able to work additional hours at after schools clubs and lunch time duty

It is desirable that you have worked alongside children with challenging behaviour
