EYFS TA for Barnsley Primary

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a primary school located in Barnsley that requires the immediate start of an Early Years Teaching Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity for nurturing and driven individuals who are passionate about supporting pupils early year's development. You will work under the instruction/guidance of the teacher and other senior staff members, to ensure the care and support of EYFS pupils. You will act as a role model and mentor to children who are new to a school environment to provide a high standard of care and education.

You will:

  • Be an enthusiastic and committed support assistant.
  • Be able to communicate effectively and professionally with early years pupils.
  • Relevant experience in an EYFS setting.
  • Shown initiative, be willing to work as part of a team and be confident to get involved in all areas of the school.
  • Observe, assess and plan to support the individual needs of children to show and involve parents/carers how much they are growing and thriving.
  • Support effective transition activities so that EYFS pupils are ready to take their next step in their school journey.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
