X2 full-time EYFS roles from September 2021

Experience supporting children who aren’t ‘school ready’ would be desirable

Knowledge of the EYFS Curriculum is a necessity

Supporting children with toileting, changing and administering medication and snacks

Are you an EYFS experienced or qualified teaching assistant? Have you previously worked in a Nursery, Pre-School or Reception setting? Could you work on a full or part time basis supporting the individual needs of children in an EYFS setting?

A school located on the outskirts of Burnley has contacted Teaching Personnel in order to source x2 teaching assistants to support children within their new reception intake. Schools have recently received their new in-take numbers and are slowly getting information sent through regarding children’s needs & development levels. Due to four children starting school in September with EHCP plans, the school is looking to source two teaching assistants to provide specialist support linked to Autism, Physical disabilities & learning delays. Four of the children arriving in September require 1:1 support. The SENCO prefers to trial candidates in order to ascertain the correct fit for the children and school. Both roles would be full-time, for the full academic year, with the hours estimated to be 8:30 – 15:15, with 30 minutes for dinner. The School SENCO has suggested that due to the low level of attainment and developmental levels, a candidate with nursery experience may fit well.  

The school is a one form entry primary school, working around national average levels for children on free school meals & pupil premium. The school is currently graded as Good by Ofsted and work exclusively with Teaching Personnel for all their temporary SEN support needs. The Head teacher supports other schools in the local area and with this you will receive excellent support and be able to access additional professional development such as; Team Teach, Autism Awareness and Manual Handling.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
