An Ofsted graded ‘GOOD’ primary school in Darwen is looking to appoint a new teaching assistant to join their Early Years team from September 2020!
The role is full-time, Monday to Friday (08:45 – 15:30). It is initially temporary; however, following a successful period of probation, the appointed candidate will be offered a school contract.
The Head Teacher is looking for a teaching assistant who can hit the ground running and make effective contributions to the team. Accordingly, knowledge and experience of the EYFS Framework is essential. In order to be considered for the role, you must hold minimum a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent). The school aspires to be a place that treasures and loves every individual, and inspires children to have a thirst for learning, a love for life and to embrace the future with hope and confidence. The successful candidate will share with the school their vision and will promote these values throughout their daily practice.
The school is smaller than average, with a high proportion of pupils eligible for free school meals. The proportion of pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities is also above the national average. The school is easily accessible by local transport links.
The Head Teacher aims to shortlist and virtually interview by 3rd July 2020; however, with the current circumstances, it is possible this could change.
