Early Years SEN Teaching Assistant – Southampton

A lovely primary school in the Southampton area are looking for an Early Years SEN Teaching Assistant to join for a long term position. This is a growing multi cultural school with supportive, friendly staff and excellent resources.

The school has been rapidly progressing over the last few years due to highly motivated staff who are committed to developing the skills of their pupils in a nurturing environment.

This school, situated only several minutes walk from Southampton station, is looking for an SEN Teaching assistant who wants to commit to a full-time, long term position and will be able to effectively work 1:1 with a young boy recently diagnosed with Autism. The boy would benefit from an interactive and approachable person who is very friendly and willing to adapt.

The ideal candidate for this role will have the following:

- Minimum 1 year experience working in a classroom setting as a teaching assistant

- Enhanced DBS check on the update service

- Experience working on a 1:1 basis with an Autistic child

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
