EYFS Teaching Assistant required in a Catholic School in Liverpool

Here at Teaching Personnel, we have had a request from one of our client Catholic schools for a Teaching Assistant to work mornings with a small group of pupils in Reception with behavioural issues. They are looking for someone who has intensive knowledge of SEN and experience working with pupils with SEN.

The school is in North Liverpool, specifically in the Vauxhall area and is rated as ‘Good’ by Ofsted, where the Headteacher, ably supported by the Deputy Headteacher, has a firm and resolute determination to continually strive to improve pupils’ outcomes. Staff morale is high; staff share the Headteacher’s vision and work well together for the benefit of the pupils and the wider community.

Teaching across both Nursery and Reception classes is consistently good. Communication between them is effective and ensures that there is a smooth transition between Nursery and Reception. Staff work well collaboratively and make effective use of the space both indoors and outdoors. The school have excellent facilities for pupils with SEN and the children make excellent progress due to specific one to one support.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
