Teaching Personnel are seeking a caring and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a nurturing and inclusive primary school in Doncaster. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children in their earliest stages of education, helping them to develop a love of learning, independence, and key foundational skills.


The Role

As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the class teacher and contributing to the social, emotional, and academic development of children aged 3–5. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the planning and delivery of engaging, play-based learning activities aligned with the EYFS framework.

  • Working with small groups and individual pupils to encourage communication, creativity, and curiosity.

  • Assisting in the observation and assessment of children’s progress, contributing to their learning journeys.

  • Promoting positive behaviour, inclusion, and emotional well-being.

  • Supporting children with additional needs to ensure they can fully access learning opportunities.

  • Creating a safe, stimulating, and supportive classroom environment where every child can thrive.


About You

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience working with children in an early years or nursery setting.
  • Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant / Early Years qualification (desirable but not essential).
  • Demonstrate a warm, patient, and nurturing approach to supporting young children.
  • Have strong communication skills and work well as part of a team.
  • Be committed to promoting the safeguarding and welfare of all pupils.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
