EYFS Teacher - Nelson Primary School

Job description

EYFS Teacher - Nelson Primary School

Full time teaching position available

Experience in EYFS is essential

Maternity cover

A Catholic school, who have worked with Teaching Personnel for a number of years, have approached the agency in order to source a strong EYFS teacher. The school is located in Nelson and the role is to start after the February half term 2019.

The school is a one form entry school in Nelson, which has mainly white British heritage pupils. The pupils tend to arrive from challenging backgrounds and so often the entry level is lower than National Average, particularly for Maths, Reading and Writing. Due to the quality of teaching, support and interventions provided the majority of children make good progress. For example, last academic year the percentage of children in EYFS that reached GLD was inline with National average. The current OFSTED grading is GOOD across all areas and the school are keen to improve further.

The school is looking for a nurturing individual with good behaviour management and who has a strong understanding of EYFS needs and requirements. In order to be successful you must be able to complete baseline assessments with the children and produce effective planning. You would be expected to contribute to the wider School community such as attending staff meetings and INSETs.

If this seems like the ideal and suitable job for you then do not hesitate to contact Charlotte.
