The role of the Teacher is to ensure that all children at the Nursery School in Harrow receive a high quality care and education.
General Responsibilities
- To ensure that children come first in all aspects of school life providing a safe and secure environment
- To promote the inclusive ethos of the Nursery
- To implement and promote good Health and Safety practices and manage risks appropriately
- To implement and promote the Equal Opportunities Policy to ensure an environment that is free from prejudice and anti-discriminatory in all aspects
- To work with and plan for children with a range of abilities and needs in this diverse community jointly with the SEN team

Key tasks and accountabilities are intended to be a guide to the range and level of work expected. The duties and responsibilities of this post may vary from time to time according to the changing needs of the school. This job description may be reviewed at the discretion of the Headteacher in the light of those changing requirements and in consultation with the Classroom Teacher and the Governing Board.
