EYFS Teacher

EYFS Class Teacher

Monday 20th April start date


Your opportunity

A primary school in Accrington requires a full time EYFS teacher. Due to a gap in staffing the role is to start on Monday 20th April 2020 and until 17th July 2020. The role is available on a full time basis. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a good understanding of the EYFS National Curriculum. You must have experience in the teaching of Phonics, particularly Letters and Sounds as well as Jolly Phonics.

About the school

The school provides an ideal EYFS setting including well organised outdoor provision, a wide variety of structured continuous provision and challenge areas, for example the children are given the responsibility to complete a number of tasks in different area throughout the week.

The class is an average size with a catchment of mainly white British heritage children. At the beginning of the academic year a high percentage of children come to school who were not ‘school ready’ and require support in fundamental skills such as toileting, speech and language and communication skills. A number of these children will still require additional support and the relevant provision is in place, two full time members of staff.

-          Recent EYFS teaching experience and evidence of outstanding teaching practice

-          Previous teaching experience using the EYFS Framework

-          The ability to motivate and lead pupils
