EYFS Teacher Job
An OFSTED ‘GOOD’ school in the heart of Preston have approached Teaching Personnel in order to source, shortlist and appoint an experienced EYFS teacher to work from January 6th 2020. The Head teacher in school would like to have a number of applying CVs to shortlist this weekend coming, with the view to seeing a selection of teachers in the classroom for an observation lesson.
The School
The school has a total of 218 on roll. The majority of children attend school mainly from the local area. The make up of the catchment is predominately working and lower middle class; with a number of professional and aspiring young families. The majority of the parents across school support their children, particularly with the transition into the EYFS department. The EYFS team are very hard working and committed to raising standards, allowing the children’s parents to have a good impact on the follow up work usual set as part of a homework project.
The Role
The role will be to undertake a 5 day a week positon working from Monday to Friday. This will be a full class teacher role in the EYFS department. You will have support from two dedicated teaching assistants as well as a full time SEN support assistant. The role is to start from 6th January 2020 and last until the teacher returns from maternity, expected to be in October 2020. This is expected to be around 9 – 12 months in total. Within the role you will be expected to undertake the full class teacher role; planning and assessing in line with the Early Learning Goals and the EYFS Curriculum.
The Head teacher
The Head teacher is an inspiration! The recent Ofsted inspection notes that she was the ‘driving force behind the schools’ continuous improvement’. The Lead Inspector also noted that the Head teacher, in the three years she has been in role, has created a harmonious team who look out for each other and work hard to further improve standards. The Head teacher will be the person to observe candidates and so you must be available to undertake a half day assessment to ascertain your suitability.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
