Teaching Personnel are delighted to be recruiting for an Early Years Teaching Assistant for our partner Primary school located in Salford. This full time Early Years Teaching Assistant position is to specifically support teaching and learning in the school's Early Years Unit. This role is to start ASAP until the end of the academic year.

Overview-

• Supporting the Reception Teacher with a range of tasks, including preparation of the classroom and indoor/outdoor resources for teaching and learning.
• Supporting individual children during lessons to enable them to make good progress towards their own targets.
• Delivery literacy, mathematics and phonics programmes, including intervention programmes to small groups and individuals.
• Communication with parents on the progress of the children.
• Pay of up to £350 a week.

The school are ideally seeking someone who:

• Is reliable and able to work proficiently as an individual and as part of a team.
• Has or is working towards a relevant Level 2 or higher qualification, e.g. Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools.
• Has a good working knowledge of the EYFS framework and curriculum.
• Has an understanding of the needs of children of different abilities, including those with Special Educational Needs.
• Is willing to take part in school-based training, which may take place outside contracted hours.

Our partner school achieved GOOD in their most recent Ofsted report. Further, the direction of the Senior Leadership team and the behaviour of the pupils were highlighted as particular strengths of the school.

It is located within Salford which offers easy access to the surrounding areas of Manchester. There are also public transport links that stop very close to the school.
