Job description

A school in Woolwich is recruiting for an EYFS Teaching Assistant who is proactive and engaging to join their team. The role is due to commence ASAP, working 5 days per week. Working hours for this role will be 8:30am - 4:00pm and the daily rate of pay will be £60.00 - £70.00.The school is looking for a candidate who genuinely wants to make an impact in the learning and development of young children. The individual will be flexible, resilient and patient as dealing with young pupils can be demanding, but yet extremely rewarding.

Requirements

Suitable candidates will ideally be:

  • A Graduate
  • Anyone looking to further their experience within a primary school
  • An individual with prior experience working with children in a Nursery, Child Care setting or anyone with experience working in a primary school

The candidate will have a good knowledge of the EYFS curriculum, be able to work well as part of a team and be capable of using their own initiative. The EYFS classes currently operate in an open plan, free flow setting. You will be working in partnership with your class teacher to ensure pupils are receiving full access to the curriculum. You will assist with planning and preparation and take the lead on all display work in the class. The individual will have a current DBS on the update service or willing to apply for one. You should also be able to provide us with two references before we can take your applications further.
