EYFS/KS1 Teaching Assistant
The Headteacher and governing body of an oversubscribed Primary School located in the Keighley area of West-Yorkshire are recruiting for a full time teaching assistant to join their wonderful school across two classes in Early Years and Key Stage 1. This is a new split role in school and the key responsibilities for the successful applicant would be to provide small group support in Early Years tailored around Phonics and guided reading and during the afternoons lead tailored interventions to children in Y2. The Headteacher is keen to secure a dynamic enthusiastic practitioner on a temporary basis for the remainder of the academic year. This role is to begin as soon as schools re-open, with the working hours 8:45-15:15 with 30 minutes unpaid lunch. This role is five days per week and term time only. The aim of the role is to address the gaps in learning that have been left due to school closures.
The successful applicant will:
- Hold a Level 2 childcare related qualification as a minimum. Newly Qualified Teachers who wish to gain further experience are welcome to apply.
- Experience of delivering phonics interventions to pupils in EYFS and/or KS1
- Have a genuine passion for the development of each child in your care providing an inclusive environment where all can learn and all are encouraged to meet their full potential.
- Uphold the whole school ethos and be involvement in school life and events.
- Have experience of supporting children in an Early Years or Key Stage One classroom. Experience within an EYFS setting would be advantageous however not essential.
- Have experience differentiating for pupils with special educational needs.
- Be able to provide contact details of two referees from their two most recent employers.
- Be able to travel to Keighley.

In addition, this school boasts excellent facilities and resources available to teachers and pupils. Rates of pay are competitive and range from GBP300-GBP330 per week (GBP10-GBP11 per hour).
