EYFS & KS1 teaching assistant - full time - Hounslow - starting January 2020 - GBP60 to GBP80 per day

Are you an EYFS specialist? Looking to build some experience across KS1 classes?

We are currently recruiting for a full time teaching assistant to work across KS1 classes in a large four form entry school based in Hounslow. The school itself use the EYFS curriculum through to their KS1 classes, requiring an EYFS specialist to support the development of their classes. 

All rates and salaries are negotiable based on experience, qualification and suitability for the role.

The role?

This full time role will involve working across their four KS1 classes, from reception to year 2. You will be spread across all classes evenly, conducting group activities, intervention support and one to one for specific students with additional needs. As a school that bases their KS1 curriculum from the EYFS curriculum they are looking for an early years specialist to provide a fresh perspective to their structure. You will be required to conduct phonics, counting and writing sessions to all classes. With an assistant head as the year lead they are looking for a member of staff to provide suggestions for new styles and techniques to benefit the student's development. 

The school?

This large four form entry school have recently undergone a huge transformation both internally and externally. In the past two years they have received a new building and facitilies to benefit all staff and students, providing great facilities for their SEN unit and for additional clubs, groups and booster sessions. With their outstanding building providing great opportunities for staff to thrive in a variety of ways they are looking for a member of staff to be indepdent and make a difference in a variety of ways to the students they work with. The school has a high number of students from different backgrounds and cultures, including high numbers of students with english as an additional language and special educational needs. It is a huge factor that all members of staff must be positive and outgoing, ensuring the best possible opportunities for every student. 

Ideal candidate?

- EYFS specialist

- Strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum

- Outgoing and able to provide ideas and feedback to senior members of staff

- Experienced running group activities and intervention sessions

The school is located a 5 minute walk from Hounslow East station, connected by multiple train and bus services. They have a large car park accessible to all members of staff.
