EYFSEYFS/KS1 Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to work in a OFSTED rated 'Good' school in the Pudsey area of Leeds. The school are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join their Reception class ideally to provide a high quality and creative educational experience to its pupils. The school offers a fantastic opportunity to work with a supportive team of skilled educational professionals in a community driven environment. The position will be to integrate yourself fully within the Reception class therefore a good knowledge of the EYFS curriculum is vital as well as an understanding of Tapestry as observation work will be undertaken by yourself. Occasionally, some cover may be needed in Year 1 but the primary role is as a Reception/Nursery nurse.

In order to be considered, the Reception Teaching Assistant will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Proven Teaching experience
  • Previous experience in a UK classroom
  • Obtain referees from all employment in the last two years
  • Eligible to work in the UK (must have valid visa)
  • Valid DBS will be on the update service (we can support you with this)
  • Knowledge of the EYFS Curriculum and Tapestry or other interactive observations
