EYFS 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant - Part - time

Teaching Personnel are looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a 2 year old child with visual impairment. This is a part-time role (monday - friday 8:30am-12:30pm) starting from the 25/04/2019 for a school based in Normanton, Derby (DE23). We are looking for someone who can assist in promoting the learning and personal development of the pupil to whom you are assigned. The suitable candidate will need to be able to motivate and encourage the child as required by providing levels of individual attention.

In order to be successful you will need to:

  • Have a real passion to make a difference in pupil's lives.
  • Have previous experience of working across a Early Years
  • Have a strong knowledge of EYFS
  • Be a strong communicator and be able to work as part of a team
  • Be adaptable and flexible
  • Have a calm and nurturing approach
  • Have effective behaviour management strategies that you are able to implement
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Enhanced DBS on the online update service
