Are you currently looking for a new teaching opportunity in the Southampton area?
We are currently looking for an experienced science teacher to work in a Southampton school within their well established science department. This will be a full time, permanent teaching position which will involve in the near future the option of taking on-board leadership responsibilities.
The school are apart of a wider network which provides the successful applicant fantastic teaching opportunities and a well established CPD program even for experienced teachers. The program would allow for the successful applicant to learn the necessary skills to be able to achieve SLT status within the school. The role would involve teaching across KS3 and KS4 children specifically teaching across the GCSE science curriculum which involves, Physics, Biology and chemistry. The school would consider applicants which have a specialism within a certain science subject area.
The schools recent Ofsted's inspection rated the school outstanding with comments about the science department being "During lessons, pupils are regularly encouraged to contribute to class discussions".
The successful applicant will:
- Hold a current QTS and a relevant subject related degree.
- Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for Science.
- It would be an advantage if the candidate could teach a secondary subject but not a necessity.
