Experienced Maths Teacher Required in Southampton!

Are you a Mathematician? Do you hold a teaching qualification? Are you worried that switching jobs will mean a reduction in your annual salary? Do you want a new teaching opportunity?

We are currently working with a school in Southampton who are looking for an experienced Maths teacher to join there team in September 2019! The role will be a full time permanent position working within a well established experienced Maths department who will be able to support the successful candidate through their teaching career.

The secondary school have a Good rated Ofsted. This role would be fantastic for a teacher who is very experienced and has fantastic knowledge of the maths GCSE curriculum. The successful applicant will be responsible for teaching across higher and low ability GCSE groups

The role will involve teaching across KS3 & KS4 GCSE syllabus; previous experience of teaching at GCSE level would be required. It would be an added advantage if the applicant has postgraduate qualifications in a related subject.

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold a valid QTS or QTLS with ideally a subject related postgraduate which is recognised within the UK.
  • Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for Mathematics.

  • An established CPD programme which will enable you to gain the necessary skills necessary to supplement your teaching career and enable you to take on extra responsibilities if you wish.

The school are looking for the right candidate to start in September 2019, all candidates will be considered, and interviews will be arranged on application. The vacancy will stay online until the right candidate is placed.
