Job description

A Primary School based in Dagenham is looking to hire an enthusiastic and caring person to join their inclusion team. They are looking for someone that works well with both adults and children; someone is firm but fair, has a good sense of humour and who is an effective team worker. You will work closely with the SENCo.

The role will be to work with the class teacher and deliver intervention programmes alongside the curriculum. The new Learning Support Assistant will need:

  • An NVQ at Level 3 or above or is degree educated.
  • 1 Years experience as a Learning Support Assistant involving the delivering of intervention programmes.
  • Is highly motivated, enthusiastic and willing to learn and develop new skills.
  • Is keen to work as part of a team and have good communication skills.
  • Be committed to promote the inclusion of all pupils, ensuring equal opportunities to learn and develop.

To apply for this role you must have an enhanced DBS check and be registered on to the update service. Candidates that do not have a current DBS will have to apply for one through the agency. This is compulsory and not optional. Candidates must also have 2 references from professional employers within the last 6 years.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
