ESOL Tutors - Tameside

Job description

There are multiple positions available for Secondary ESOL Tutors to work flexible part time hours within the Manchester Borough. These positions are commencing as soon as possible and running until the end of the academic year.

The tuition is for children and young people who are secondary school aged and are being educated outside of mainstream. The young people who require ESOL tuition are generally asylum seekers or refugees who have recently arrived to the country and are waiting upon a place in a school or appropriate educational provision. Due to the background of the children they often have either limited or no English at all so ideally Tutors will have experience of teaching from entry level English.

You will need to have the appropriate skills needed to build effective working relationships with pupils in order to engage them and support them in achieving the best possible outcomes.

In order to be considered for the positions you will need:

- Fully Qualified Teacher Status or significant tutoring experience

- An in depth subject knowledge of English and the ability to plan and deliver sessions

- The ability to build strong relationships with pupils

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
