English Tutor - Hucknall, Nottingham - National Tutoring Programme

We are working on the behalf of our client secondary academy who are looking for an English tutor to deliver specialist 3:1 sessions utilising the National Tutoring Programme Funding. 

The NTP aims to support schools in providing a sustained response to the coronavirus pandemic and to provide a longer-term contribution to closing the attainment gap. 

Details:

• Face to face tuition at school
• 3:1
• Key stage 3 English
• from Monday 7th June - Friday 9th July
• Full time or part time hours can be considered
• 9am - 3pm, Monday - Friday

Our most successful tutors have the following skills, experience, and personality traits:

• Qualified and non qualified educators are welcome to apply
• Must have up to date knowledge of the KS3 English curriculum
• Experienced teaching small intervention groups or 1:1 tuition
• Enthusiastic graduates of English or other degrees relating to English
• Experienced private tutors with a minimum of 1 year experience
• Confident to differentiate to a broad range of pupil needs, abilities, and personalities
• Experienced offering pastoral support in nurture groups, form groups or working in nurture/inclusion units
• Experienced working with low ability students or those who present with SEN
• Confident to manage any challenging behaviour and able to re-engage hard to reach learners
• Able to plan and effectively deliver all your own learning materials
• Competent at providing detailed feedback and progress reports to track the progress of students both academically and socially
• Proven track record of being able to raise student attainment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
