Are you a recent Psychology graduate with a passion for supporting students with special educational needs (SEN)? An outstanding school in Hyde is seeking a dedicated Psychology Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work with students with autism, dyslexia, ADHD, and other needs on a one-to-one basis to ensure they receive the necessary support throughout the school day. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in helping students overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one support to students with SEN
- Assist in managing classroom behavior and ensuring a positive learning environment
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to implement individualized education plans
- Monitor student progress and communicate effectively with parents and caregivers
- Uphold safeguarding procedures and report any incidents appropriately
Requirements:
- Recent Psychology graduate or relevant degree
- Passion for working with children and young people with SEN
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families
- Willingness to undergo necessary background checks, including an enhanced DBS check
- Completion of online safeguarding training

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
