English Teaching Assistant - Tameside Secondary School

Well respected Secondary School in Tameside require an aspiring English graduate looking to pursue a career in education as an English teacher.

Starting in February the school are looking to appoint an English graduate through Teaching Personnel to work within the English team as an English Teaching Assistant providing additional support to students and the department. The successful English graduate will gain excellent first hand experience working alongside fully qualified teachers, which will help towards a PGCE or school direct teacher training programme.

The aim of this role is to ensure that the additional support you provide has a direct impact on the academic attainment of students to reach their expected progress targets and grades. As an English Teaching Assistant you will assist learners in the classroom alongside teachers, provide intensive intervention to students outside of the classroom o a small group and 1 to 1 basis.

The school is graded Good by Ofsted, has outstanding academic results and excellent pupil behaviour making it the perfect environment to learn your trade as a future English teacher. Situated in the M34 post code of Tameside the school is located half a mile from the M67 and has frequent bus routes if you don't drive.
