Are you an English graduate wishing to pursue a career in secondary education? Have you got previous experience working with students aged 11-16 year?

Our client secondary school in Manchester is currently seeking English graduates to work as English teaching assistants. This position is a temporary full time post starting in September, initially for the first two terms but with the potential to stay on longer. This is the perfect opportunity for any English graduate thinking of starting a teacher training course to further their experience.

• Temporary full time English teaching position- starting in September

• Support low attaining students on a 1:1 basis to increase progress

• Get paid whilst gaining classroom based experience

This is an 11-16 mixed academy with over 1050 students currently on roll, the school is located in the North of Manchester City Centre and is accessible via the A6010 road with a variety of transport links situated close to the school. The incoming English teaching assistant will be working on a 1:1 basis with students making the transition from Year 6 to Year 7 that have not achieved the minimum levels of attainment in English.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
