Job description

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking to recruit an English Teacher to work in a large school in Stevenage from February half term. You will join a dedicated and friendly department and be responsible for planning and delivering high quality lessons, achieving excellent results for your students, instilling in them a love for English and a desire to learn.

We are looking for someone who will inspire and enthuse our students, delivering an outstanding and enriched curriculum. The right person should have a passion for teaching and look to join a school where they can make a difference.

You will receive on going support from a dedicated consultant and SLT within the school. Often teachers comment on the commitment of the school to their teaching staff and how the students have a desire to learn.

To apply for this role you will need to meet the following criteria:

  • A passion for educating children
  • Experience working with young people in a paid and/or voluntary capacity
  • Understand the need for flexibility and adaptability
  • Excellent classroom management skills
  • Have or be willing to apply for a child only DBS that is registered on the update service
  • QTS is not essential however you will need a teaching qualification or experience of deliveirng lessons and raising attainment across KS3 and KS4
