English Teacher- September 2018- South Manchester

Teaching Personnel have been approached by our partner secondary school located in South Manchester to recruit for an English teacher ahead of the new academic year. This is an opportune time for an English teacher to join our partner school as they are going from strength to strength under a newly appointed Head teacher. The school welcome applications from English teachers of all experience and are willing to offer a fixed-term/permanent contract to the right candidate.

- Full time teaching position of English to Key Stages 3 & 4

- Pay in line with MPS/UPS dependant on experience (£22,917- £38,633)

- Potential of a permanent contract after the initial supply period

- School located in South Manchester with excellent accessibility

Due to a staffing re-structure within the English department, a permanent vacancy has arisen for an English teacher to join this popular secondary school in the new academic year. The Senior Leadership team are specifically seeking a English teacher who is dedicated to raising the attainment in English and someone who can competently teach across the ability range.

Our partner secondary school is of average size with just under 1000 pupils currently on roll. Most students are from White British backgrounds and the proportion of those known to be eligible for support through the pupil premium is slightly higher than the national average at present.

It is located within South Manchester which offers excellent accessibility to the areas of Wythenshawe, Stockport and Tameside via the M60 motorway. It is also situated close to the M56 which offers direct access to Altrincham, Timperley and Sale. For those requiring public transport, there are direct bus links from as far as Manchester city centre.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
