English Teacher - Sheffield - Part time (0.6)

Teach English up to Key Stage 5

Earn up to £800 per week, dependent upon experience

Work in an Ofsted rated 'Good' school

Teaching Personnel has an exciting opportunity for a high quality English Teacher to join a highly ambitious school for the remainder of the academic year on a part-time basis, with interviews taking place in the next week or so. Situated in South Sheffield the school is on a main bus link and has good tram access it is also easily accessible from the M1 motorway. The school is oversubscribed with exceptional extra-curricular provision, and was ruled to be good with outstanding qualities by OFSTED in 2014.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified English teacher to join a large, successful department whose results are consistently amongst the highest in the area year on year. As a whole the schools most recent GCSE results show 74% of pupils receiving at least 5 A*- C grades with its English results being over 64% A* - C.

The successful candidate will be required to teach English up to Key Stage 5 and although not essential some experience of teaching Drama is desirable.

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Raise attainment
  • Increase subject knowledge across all Key Stages
  • Build confidence
  • Practice exam questions
  • Work with students on a 1 to 1 basis as well as a full classroom setting
