English Teacher - Pontefract

I am currently looking to recruit an Enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of English to complete a temporary role at an 11 - 18 Secondary high school in the WF7 area of Pontefract. This role is to cover an ongoing sickness for the summer term with the possibility for a permanent contract to arise for the right candidate. This is a full time role 5 days per week where planning and marking will be included with around 2 parents evenings which you will be expected to attend.

This school are currently looking for the following:

  • The subject knowledge to teach 9 - 1 English
  • The ability to plan and mark effective and engaging lessons
  • A can-do attitude and enthusiasm to promote the subject of English
  • Someone who wishes to become an integral part of the school
  • An individual who can promote the ethos of the school throughout all lessons

This school has a strong ethos throughout with a lot of support for other schools within the trust. With a lot of different extra curricular activities and events going on within the school, it is a very exciting time to join the English department. I have had a number of candidates in the school who never want to leave once they have spent a week there.
