English Teacher vacancy at a lovely Catholic School in the Westminster Diocese

The School

An exciting opportunity for an English teacher has come up at a school in the Westminster Diocese. The school has been rated "GOOD" by Ofsted and bases its values off three words - Aspiration, Innovation and Respect. The school has a fantastic behaviour policy and is seeking to boost the quality of its already brilliant teaching staff by adding a new member to their English department.

The Role

The school are seeking an English teacher to work full time from September. You will have experience as an English teacher at secondary level, teaching classes of 30. A teaching qualification (PGCE or QTS) is desirable for this position, however not essential.

Requirements

  • You must possess a child only DBS certificate on the update service or be willing to apply for one.
  • A UK recognised teaching qualification (PGCE or QTS) is desirable but not essential.
  • A degree in English or an English related subject
  • Experience as an English teacher at KS3 and KS4 and ideally KS5.
  • A passion for teaching English and a determination to motivate your students to achieve the excellent exam results that the school has a reputation for.
