English Teacher - Norwich

Job description

Are you a focused and passionate English Teacher, with experience working in an SEN or SEMH provision? Or do you have a strong desire to work with challenging pupils?

This is the position for you!

Teaching Personnel are looking to appoint a Newly Qualified, Fully Qualified or Overseas Trained teacher in Norwich.

The Role

You will be teaching English at GCSE level to pupils who display challenging behaviour and Social, Emotional and Mental Health issues (SEMH) in an extremely rewarding and supportive school environment. This role will involve planning lessons, preparing lesson resources, teaching English, marking mock exams/workbooks and tracking progress of pupils.

The School

  • Class sizes at the school are small, with around 6-8 pupils per class. There are also approx. 2 Teaching Assistants per class.
  • The school has a strong focus on the promotion of well-being as well as vocational and academic programmes, which are personalised for students.
  • Encouraging the development and confidence of each individual pupil means that activities take place both on and off the school site.
  • Some of the excellent facilities available to pupils include a sports centre, IT equipment and vocational workshops.

To apply for this position:

  • You must be a qualified teacher with experience teaching English to KS3 and KS4.
  • You should either have experience of working with students with SEMH, communication difficulties or complex needs or have a strong interest and a passion to teach pupils with SEN.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
