A School based in on the outskirts of Southampton are looking to recruit a full time English teacher from September 2019. This large comprehensive Ofsted rated "good School" are looking for and enthusiastic, hard work and passionate individual to join their creative team.

Responsibilities and Duties of a English Teacher

  • You must be able to confidently deliver and support classes in English Literature and English Language.
  • Provide a strong skill set for KS3 and KS4 pupils
  • To be able to adapt your teaching skills to suit each pupils needs.
  • You will be a good team player with good behaviour management skills when required

Qualifications and Skills

  • Teachers: Ideally have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS), Have recent secondary/ FE teaching experience in the UK to be familiar with the current curriculum - up to Key Stage 5 and Use positive and effective behaviour management strategies
  • Cover Supervisor interested in English teaching: Previous experience in an education setting, have the confidence to cover a class up to 30 pupils, Degree/Master is desired.
